Time Flies

Time seems to have flown by since that first party for Kentucky Central Life Insurance at the Red Mile back in the summer of 1994.  Since that day, I have had the privilege of working in many venues across the state and beyond. I have met literally thousands of people from all corners, along with a celebrity or two thrown in for good measure. I have worked parties for 10-15 people and then turned around and set up sound for almost 2000 dancing employees for a large carmaker in Georgetown.

Weddings seemed to be the most requested event and I have lost count of the hundreds that I have been asked to be a part of.
It is always a great pleasure when I get a call from someone who attended a wedding reception that I worked almost ten years ago, and they want to book me for their event. I have worked receptions for Best Men from 5 years ago, little sisters of brides from a decade ago, and so forth. I love to get those calls.

Equipment has changed, and the music has certainly stepped way out there since ’94, but the personal service and attention to the smallest detail is still one of the items that sets SOUND TRAVELS apart from the big DJ “brokers” around town and the guys that have come and already gone. Yellow page ad today…gone tomorrow.
